The Shoe Inn

This 15th-century coaching inn, situated just on the edge of the New Forest on the A36, has been welcoming hungry travellers ever since 1430 and is steeped in history. Today it is a family-run free house with an elegant rustic interior and a pretty terrace garden. The Shoe Inn is renowned for its quality home-cooked food and is the perfect retreat for a relaxing weekend away or a comfortable overnight stop. Each charming en suite bedroom is situated on the first floor, and is equipped with a colour TV and tea/coffee. The Shoe Inn offers a very wide range of quality dishes, including pasta, fish, steaks and Thai curry. It serves food every day, from 12:00 until 21:00. There is live music/karaoke on some Saturday and Sunday nights.
